Iconic Hulk actor smashing his way to Modesto for autographs at comic book store

In his second appearance in nearly two years, “The Incredible Hulk” actor Lou Ferrigno is visiting Modesto for autographs and photos.

Invincible Comics on Tully Road first hosted the 1970s TV and fitness icon in June 2024. The shop will be the site of his meet and greet again on Friday, March 27.

In 1977, the documentary “Pumping Iron” chronicled Ferrigno’s attempt to win a Mr. Olympia title. Although he never accomplished the feat, Ferrigno does hold the 1973 and 1974 title of Mr. Universe.

“When I was a kid, I would go into comic book stores by myself and I remember I didn’t have the money,” Ferrigno told The Bee in 2024. “I remember the smell of the old-fashioned comic book paper. With comics, I learned about bodybuilders and I dreamed about being like the Hulk.”

From 1977 to 1981, Ferrigno’s dream turned to reality when he played David Banner’s alter ego in the CBS television series “The Incredible Hulk.” He also made cameo appearances in the 2003 film “Hulk” and the 2008 film “The Incredible Hulk,” and he voiced the Hulk in the 2012 “The Avengers” film and “Avengers: Age of Ultron” in 2015.

The actor will be at 3430 Tully Road, Suite 24, between 4 and 6 p.m.

The price for a single autograph is $60, two for $100 or three for $120. It is $100 for Ferrigno to sign a personal item.

The price for a solo picture with Ferrigno is $60 and $80 for a group photo. A video message is $100.

If you want a photo and an autograph, the price is $100 for a one-person photo and $120 for a group photo.
