Best in Stanislaus County poll gets greasy. Nominate your favorite pizza joint
The first contest in our “best of” series named Flora Cafe the best coffee shop in Stanislaus County, Now, it’s time to get a little greasy.
Which place serves the best pizza in the area? It can be a sit-down joint, take-and-bake spot, food truck or anywhere else that sells pizza — with a Stanislaus County health permit. I know, I think my backyard oven makes the best pie, too.
Remember, this poll is separate from Best in Modesto and will be tied to a community event at the beginning of 2026. That event will be announced at the end of the series.
Nominations will begin Tuesday, Nov. 25, and end on Thursday, Nov. 27. Don’t burn your turkey trying to get your nomination in at the last minute.
Finalists will be named Friday, and voting will last through Sunday, Nov. 30. The winner will be featured Monday.
Nominate your favorite pizza place
A pizza reviewer once told me a perfect slice will have a good “flop,” a non-soggy undercarriage and has good value, or cost-to-quality ratio.
