Raising Cane’s in Riverbank sets opening date and extra-late dining hours

Stanislaus County will get its third Raising Cane’s in less than a week, the company announced in a news release Wednesday.

The chicken restaurant will have a grand opening event Tuesday, Aug. 12, at 2029 Claribel Road in Riverbank. Doors will open at 9 a.m., but the festivities and giveaways will start before that.

Raising Cane’s said in the news release that it encourages customers to secure a place in line early because the first customer will “receive major Cane’s kudos with a big welcome greeting from all of the crew and a one-of-a-kind gift basket.”

Twenty customers age 13 and older who enter a drawing between 7 and 8 a.m. will win free Raising Cane’s for a year. Customers must be present to win.

The first 100 dine-in combos purchased will come with a commemorative hat and a card for a free box combo, valid on a future visit.

The event also will have performances by the Riverbank High School cheer squad, Mariachi La Union and Ballet Folklorico El Mestizaje.

As far as the menu, Raising Cane’s sells one thing: chicken “fingers” (tenderloins). There are five combinations in which they come: kids combo, three fingers, four fingers, six fingers or a sandwich, all served with crinkle-cut fries, Cane’s signature sauce and a drink. The larger combos also include coleslaw and Texas toast.

“We’re fired up to bring Riverbank a one-of-a-kind spot for unbeatable chicken finger meals,” said Chris Zygler, Cane’s regional leader of restaurants. “From our hand-breaded chicken fingers and buttery Cane’s toast to our signature Cane’s sauce, we can’t wait for locals to taste what makes Raising Cane’s a go-to stop for food lovers across the country.”

The other two Stanislaus County locations are in Modesto at Pelandale Avenue and Chapman Road, and in Ceres at Hatch Road and Herndon Avenue.

Raising Cane’s in Riverbank will be open 9 to 2 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday and 9 to 3:30 a.m. Thursday through Saturday — one hour later than the Modesto location.
