Port of Subs has signed a 10-unit agreement to expand in the San Joaquin Valley.

Port of Subs, a sandwich chain in the Western United States, is expanding its footprint in California through a development deal.

The 10-unit agreement was signed in partnership with Clovis couple Loveleen and Talwinder Baghri. The couple plan to open their first of 10 Port of Subs restaurants in Modesto.

“I’ve considered the San Joaquin Valley my home for decades and have spent my whole life contributing to these cities. So after meeting the Port of Subs team, Talwinder and I knew we wanted to join the brand,” Loveleen Baghri said. “Our goal is to create an environment employees love, neighbors gather and an establishment each community can rely on.”

The Baghris are in the process of securing a lease in Modesto, with a goal of opening by the end of 2025. The couple will then target markets such as their hometown of Clovis, as well as Fresno.

What’s on the menu at Port of Subs?

Port of Subs has more than 135 locations across seven states including Arizona, Nevada and Washington. While the Baghris work to expand in California, the company has over 450 new units in development nationwide.

Currently, the only Stanislaus County location of Port of Subs is inside a Chevron gas station on Glenwood Avenue in Turlock.

The restaurant serves classic and hot subs, tortilla wraps, lettuce wraps and salads.

The price of subs varies depending on size and other choices, and can range from $7.95 for a 5-inch sub to $23.45 for a 24-inch sub. Wraps are $10.95 and salads range from $7.95 to $10.95.
