Grocery Outlet will celebrate 7th Stanislaus County location with gift cards and giveaways

Stanislaus County will get its seventh location of a chain bargain grocery store Thursday, and the celebration includes gift card giveaways.

Grocery Outlet is holding its grand opening in north Turlock at 7 a.m. The first 100 customers will receive a Bliss Buck gift card for mystery amounts ranging from $5 to $500, according to a news release.

Throughout opening week, shoppers will receive one free reusable bag with their purchase, while supplies last.

Customers also can enter to win a range of prizes from free groceries for a month to free groceries for life using the Grocery Outlet app until March 31.

The store, at 3101 Geer Road, will be the second in Turlock. It is independently owned and operated by Mike and Denise Buchta, who also own the West. Main Street location.

During the grand opening event, the Buchtas will donate a total of $1,000 to the Turlock Police Department Explorer Program and the Turlock Unified School District Family Resource Center, the release said.

The north Turlock Grocery Outlet will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
