Ten Pin Fun Center, a bowling alley and arcade in Turlock, is closing temporarily because of surging COVID-19 cases.

Ten Pin will be closed from Friday, Jan. 7 through at least Jan. 14, the company announced in an Instagram post. The venue is closing “for the health and safety of our guests and team members.”

No representatives from Ten Pin were available for comment.

Other entertainment venues are still open in Modesto and the surrounding cities. Boomers, a family amusement park in Modesto, highlighted their team’s efforts to ensuring customer safety in a Friday Facebook post showing an employee wiping down a ride.

Stanislaus County has seen an increase in COVID-19 cases due to the omicron variant. The county dashboard showed 601 new cases in a Thursday update, which followed a 430 single-day case increase Wednesday.
