Joseph Gallo Farms featured on 'Today' show
In honor of Earth Day, Joseph Gallo Farms in Atwater will be featured on NBC's "Today" show Friday morning.
Carl Morris, general manager of Joseph Gallo Farms, said the dairy's manure digester and electrical generation system will be highlighted on the show, which is dedicated to "Green is Universal" this week.
A team from the "Today" show's New York office visited the Gallo facility on Highway 140 April 3 for the taping. Morris said the team spent all day filming and interviewing at the farm.
The Gallo dairy has installed an award-winning methane digester system to help the environment, said Michael Gallo, chief executive of Gallo.
The "Today" show airs at 7 a.m. on KSEE Channel 24 in the Merced area and KCRA Channel 3 elsewhere.
