Man commits suicide behind McHenry Avenue bank
Modesto Police are investigating a suicide Thursday morning behind the Bank of America on McHenry Avenue just south of Standiford Avenue.
Three co-workers parked a box truck behind the bank at about 11:30 a.m., said Modesto Police Department spokeswoman Heather Graves. She said two of them went to eat at a nearby restaurant while the third said he was going to stay behind in the truck.
When the co-workers returned they found he’d shot himself, Graves said.
The man, whose name and age were not available, died at the scene.
