Vegetation fire west of Patterson 65 percent contained
Firefighters are battling a brush fire about nine miles west of Patterson, authorities said.
The Diablo Fire is reported to have burned 100 acres of vegetation and was 65 percent contained as of 7:15 p.m., according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
The fire, located near Diablo Grande Parkway and Morton Davis Drive, started Wednesday afternoon.
No structures have been threatened. The fire was initially reported to be about 200 acres. However, Cal Fire adjusted its estimate.
