Four people killed in bus crash, not five, authorities say
The deadly bus crash Tuesday in south of Livingston claimed the lives of four people, not five, authorities said today.
Dozens more were injured when the charter bus, which was carrying people from Mexico to Washington state, slammed into a large road sign, a mile south of Hammett Avenue.
Speaking at a news conference Wednesday morning, authorities said the large, chaotic scene included more than 30 victims who suffered various injuries and were taken to multiple hospitals in different cities. That led to confusion over the exact numbers of people killed and seriously injured.
