Coroner seeks family of man who died in Modesto in early July
The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office is seeking family members of a man who has not been positively identified.
The man’s name is thought to be Ramon Rios or Ramon Canez, said sheriff’s Detective Garrett Seymour, and he is believed to be 70 to 80 years old. He was found dead in his home on July 2.
He lived on the 200 block of Rio Grande Avenue in Modesto at the time of his death, and previously on the 500 block of Olivero Road, Modesto. He’d been in Modesto a couple of years, Seymour said.
Friends said he lived in Los Angeles before coming to Modesto, and originally was from Mexicali, the capital city of the Mexican state of Baja California.
Anyone with information is asked to call Seymour at 209-567-4480.
