Crews from at least four agencies were battling a blaze Saturday evening at the Sunrise Village Mobile Home Park in Modesto.

Fire agencies from Modesto, Ceres, Westport and Turlock responded to the fire on Seventh Street that was reported to the Modesto Fire Department at 6:33 p.m.

According to Modesto Fire Department Battalion Chief Jesse Nicasio, the fire started in a single trailer and quickly spread to a second, then to a power pole that went up in flames.

Because the pole was arcing, fire fighters could not reach the blaze and had to wait until crews from Turlock Irrigation District arrived and cut power to the area.

At least four units had been damaged as crews remained at the scene after 8 p.m. Saturday. No injuries had been reported.

The mobile home park, formerly known as the Butler Mobile Home Park, is located at the base of the Seventh Street Bridge near Crows Landing Road.
