Lathrop festival celebrates all things bacon

Baconfest, a bacon-themed extravaganza from Dell’Osso Family Farm in Lathrop, is taking place this weekend. Celebrity chef Guy Fieri has been brought in to headline as master of ceremonies of its two-day cooking competition. The Food Network star will host the cook-off, which will feature amateur and professional competitions. Fieri took the stage Saturday and will return Sunday from noon to 1:15 p.m. and from 2:15 to 3:30 p.m.
