Weather will cool off again

Another stretch of below-average temperatures is forecast this week. The high was 88 degrees as of 5 p.m. Sunday at the Modesto Irrigation District’s downtown office, close to the average of 87 for the date. The National Weather Service projects highs in the upper 80s on Monday, low 80s on Tuesday and an April-like 77 for Wednesday. The days will warm again, reaching the 90s by the weekend.
