Info: The Sunshine Club is a support group for men and women who have lost a loved one. Meet new friends who understand what suddenly being alone really means. In June, the group meets every Monday for a no-host lunch. For more information, call Darlene at 209-668-6792.

YESTERYEARS
75 YEARS AGO: It was announced that a group of citizens asked the Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors to appoint a housing authority to study living conditions among the low-income families in the county. The group’s request was made with the consideration of possibly being able to participate in the U.S. Housing Authority for a chance of funds in the future should the survey show there is a need in the county.
