Info: The Antone E. and Marie F. Raymus Foundation has applications available for local organizations seeking financial grants. Applicants’ organizations must focus on education, children and/ or churches. YESTERYEARS

100 YEARS AGO: “The History of the World’s Greatest War” would play at the Modesto Theater in the coming week, it was announced. The movie was on five reels and was chosen by Manager Anderson as a way to help anyone interested in learning about WWI. The movie featured battle scenes, cavalry charges, infantry tactics and more.
