YESTERYEARS
100 YEARS AGO: Priester’s clothing shop, at Tenth and J streets, announced in an ad that it was having a sale on women’s clothing. From a New York buyer, Palm Beach Suits were $5.95; skirts were not included but could be purchased for an extra $4.95. Pique skirts, set in white with four different patterns, were $1.45.
