Cinco de Mayo celebration of sight and sound in south Modesto

Parades don’t get more festive than the one each year on Crows Landing Road in Modesto to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Horns blaring – both from bands on floats and fans along the curb. Drums pounding. Dancers twirling in a rainbow of colors. Decorated cars, trucks, bikes, even a miniature train. The colorful annual event, which brings out hundreds of spectators, is sponsored by South Modesto Businesses United. The nonprofit event aims to empower and improve south Modesto.
