Final concert Sunday at Congregation Beth Shalom in Modesto

This season’s Sunday Afternoons at CBS concert series concludes Sunday with Jaffa Road, a world music group from Canada.

Jaffa Road is an acoustic and electronic group that plays secular as well as sacred music, ancient and modern. Based in Toronto, the group draws from the worlds of sacred and secular Jewish songs, Arabic and Indian music, modern jazz, rock and dub.

Sunday’s concert is being offered in conjunction with the Modesto Unplugged Music Festival, a monthlong live music showcase that this year is partnering with several established organizations and series.

The concert is at 3 p.m. at Congregation Beth Shalom, 1705 Sherwood Ave., Modesto. Tickets, available at the door, are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and students, and $7 for children. For more information, go to sundaysatcbs.com.
