Suspect in Turlock VFW burglary arrested

Thieves rammed a gate and pried open a metal door at Turlock VFW Post 5059 on Linwood Avenue early Tuesday. They damaged an ATM and stole two World War II rifles and some alcohol.
Thieves rammed a gate and pried open a metal door at Turlock VFW Post 5059 on Linwood Avenue early Tuesday. They damaged an ATM and stole two World War II rifles and some alcohol.

One of the suspects in Tuesday’s burglary at the Veteran of Foreign Wars in Turlock has been arrested.

Ricky Dean Beets Jr., 32, is charged with burglary and possession of stolen property.

A vehicle Beets was in was stopped by the Oakdale Police Department for a traffic violation and police took him into custody.

The second suspect in this investigation remains outstanding and the Turlock Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying this person.
