Music to rock Ironstone in Murphys; tickets on sale Thursday

A lineup of classic and current artists are set to heat up this year’s Summer Concert Series at Ironstone Vineyards.

Tickets go on sale Thursday, April 7, for the seven shows set to run from July 14 through Sept. 30 at the outdoor amphitheater on the grounds of the Mother Lode winery in Murphys.

The concerts kick off July 14 with country artist Darius Rucker, formerly lead singer of Hootie and the Blowfish. Dan Shay and Michael Ray also are on that bill.

Goo Goo Dolls, Collective Soul and Tribe Society bring their rock and alternative sounds to the venue July 15.

On July 27, ska/reggae rock group Sublime plays with Rome and Dirty Heads.

Pop/rock powerhouse Train pulls in on Aug. 6, sharing the bill with 1980s new wave band The English Beat.

Things get classic on Aug. 21 when Lynyrd Skynyrd and Peter Frampton take the stage. Continuing the classic rock wave will be Bad Company on Sept. 4 with former Foreigner singer Lou Gramm.

Finally, classic rock artists ZZ Top and Gregg Allman close out the season Sept. 30.
