Saturday brought out the bunny – and the hippity hoppity – in kids across the Modesto area.

Easter egg hunts sponsored by communities and organizations welcomed children in search of the ubiquitous seasonal bounty. Among them were large hunts at Modesto Reservoir, the King-Kennedy Center in Modesto and several churches.

There’s more fun to be had Sunday, with Columbia’s Victorian Easter Celebration in the historic state park. Egg hunts for youngsters up to age 12 begin at noon with the Victorian Easter Parade starting at 12:30 p.m. on Main Street.
