Bit of rain in Modesto weather forecast from Sunday to Tuesday

After a sunny and warm Saturday, wet weather is expected to return to Northern California from Sunday through Tuesday. For Modesto, it’s not expected to be much – a 10th to a quarter of an inch. Sonora could get a half-inch to 1 inch, National Weather Service meteorologists predict.

The high temperature Saturday in Modesto should be about 74, the forecast says. The night will turn partly cloudy, and Sunday holds a 30 percent chance of showers, mostly after 11 a.m. Sunday is expected to be partly sunny, with a high of about 73.

There is a 30 percent chance of showers again Monday, which will be mostly cloudy, with a high in the mid-60s.

Though the weather service says there’s a chance of showers and thunderstorms Tuesday, the day should be mostly sunny, with a high in the low 60s.

The sky is expected to be mostly clear Wednesday and Thursday, with highs in the high 60s to low 70s.
