Stanislaus coroner seeks family of Modesto woman who died in 2009
The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office is looking for a family member to take possession of the cremains of a Modesto woman who died in 2009. Bonnie Jo Word died at Memorial Medical Center at age 72.
The Coroner’s Office was given the cremains by a resident, said Detective Kamila Sulkowski. The detective determined from Word’s death certificate that the cremains initially were in the possession of the woman’s son, Robert Looper, but she has been unable to locate him.
Any of Word’s family members, or anyone who knows how to reach them, is asked to call Sulkowski at 209-567-4480.
