A little early Eggstreme fun in Modesto
The Easter Bunny will hit the trail a little early this year, with a pair of egg hunts set for this Saturday in Modesto.
Most of the region’s egg extravaganzas will be next weekend, March 26-27 – Easter weekend. The following, however, are planned a week early, including a city of Modesto event at Cesar E. Chavez Park.
The Children’s Spring Festival Celebration will be presented by the city of Modesto Parks, Recreation and Neighborhoods Department’s Maddux Youth Center. The free annual event includes an egg hunt for ages 2-14. Also planned are games, face painting, entertainment, games and challenges during the festivities, set from noon to 3 p.m. at Cesar E. Chavez Park, 619 Sierra Drive. For more information, call 209-341-2951.
Trinity United Presbyterian Church will hold its Egg-Nite on Saturday. All ages are invited to the event with a barbecue dinner, bounce house, face painting, egg hunt, games, prizes, candy, the Easter Bunny and more. Events are set for 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Trinity Church, 1600 Carver Road. For more information, call 209-529-3228.
