Shooting victim on Crows Landing Road ID’d as Ceres man

The shooting death of a 35-year-old Ceres man last week remains under investigation, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department.

Sgt. Anthony Bejaran said no arrests have been made in the death of Juan Guerrero, who was found dead Friday night on a 2-acre residence in the 4300 block of Crows Landing Road west of Ceres.

Lt. Mike Parker said Saturday it was unclear what caused the incident, though the shooter had been identified.

He also said it was unclear if the shooter or the victim lived at the residence, he said.

Bejaran had no further details but did ask that if anyone has information about the incident to call Det. Tovar at 209-525-7080.
