What: Modesto Parkinson’s Support Group monthly meeting

What: Meeting of the Modesto-Riverbank chapter of The Compassionate Friends
When: Monday, 7 p.m.
Where: 2201 Morrill Road

YESTERYEARS
75 YEARS AGO: The Riverbank City Council adopted a resolution to form a unit of the United States Housing Authority in the city. The city council formed the unit in hope of obtaining funds to build 75 to 100 small homes for industrial workers. The city of Riverbank, with the resolution, was reportedly in line for $270,000 in federal funds for establishing a low cost housing project, including a recreational center.
