YESTERYEARS
40 YEARS AGO: Four Modesto Junior College sophomores were chosen to compete in the 1976 Bank of America Community College Award program: Thomas M. Callan, science engineering; Larry L. Carrier, business; Anita L. Fallquist, technical-vocational; and Jess S. Moorad, social science-humanities. All four were from Modesto and Downey High School, each was to receive $150 in cash and be eligible for the area competition in Fresno and the finals in San Francisco for greater rewards.
