YESTERYEARS
25 YEARS AGO: The men’s basketball team for Modesto Junior College would finish no worse than a tie for first place with Merced College or have an outright title in the Camino Norte Conference depending on the outcome of Merced’s last game. The Pirates had finished the season with a record of 14-14 overall and 6-2 in CNC and the title chance was aided by a 67-64 win over American River College.
