Former air base near Crows Landing draws remote-controlled planes
Remote-control plane enthusiasts held an informal gathering Sunday at the former Crows Landing Naval Air Station. They flew model aircraft on a small part of the 1,532-acre site, which Stanislaus County aims to redevelop for industrial uses that could employ a projected 17,000 people.
