The mayors of Modesto, Ceres, Riverbank and Turlock took to their stands at Salvation Army red kettles Saturday in a friendly competition. Modesto Mayor Garrad Marsh, Ceres Mayor Chris Vierra, Turlock Mayor Gary Soiseth and Riverbank Mayor Richard O’Brien competed to see whose team could raise the most money in an eight-hour period.
