House fire in Modesto leaves one woman homeless
A structure fire Saturday evening displaced a resident and caused $75,000 damage to a home in Modesto, a fire official said.
Battalion Chief Tim Tietjen said the fire in the 1700 block of Locke Road, near Rose Avenue, damaged two bedrooms in the home. A woman who lives in the house received assistance from the American Red Cross.
Modesto engines were dispatched at 8:20 p.m.
Tietjen said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
