Item description: Celebrate the region’s agricultural heritage with the gift of locally produced foods. Rodin Ranch’s almond butter comes in three flavors – salty chunky, honey roasted and natural – and is made in the Rodin Ranch kitchen from almonds grown in its northeast Modesto orchards. A variety of dried sliced fruit – tart or sweet apples, oranges, lemons – comes from the Bella Viva Orchards in Hughson, owned by Rodin family cousins.

About the store: Rodin Ranch Farmers Market opened in downtown Modesto one year ago this month, offering food gift, recipe and snack items. It makes gift baskets that can be filled with customer selections. Owner Marie Rodin said she tries to keep most everything she sells local, with nuts, sweets, jarred items, fruits and more hailing from the family farm or other regional producers, including Sconza candies and Sciabica olive oil.
