What: JurClassic Park concert
When: Dec. 1, 7:30 p.m.
Where: Auditorium of the Performing and Media Arts Center, east campus, 435 College Ave.
Info: The concert opens with Beethoven’s “Coriolan Overture.” Beethoven composed this overture to a tragedy by Heinrich von Collin. Also on the program is Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 2, “The Little Russian.” The finale of this work is based on a Ukrainian folk song, “Let the Crane Soar.” Tickets will be available at the door for $5 general admission and $1 for students of all ages and seniors. What: Jazz Band Fall Concert offered at MJC
When: Monday, 7:30 p.m.
Where: Main Auditorium, east campus, 435 College Ave.
Info: The performance by the 17-member MJC Jazz Band, conducted by Director of Bands Erik Maki, will feature music by Maynard Ferguson, Alan Downey, Edward Heyman, Victor Young, Frank Mantooth, Davis, Ramirez, Sherman, Dominic Spera, Tom Kubis, Kupka, Castillo, Garibaldi, Lerner and Loewe. The event is open to the public and admission is free, with donations accepted. Campus parking is available for $2 in student parking lots. What: “The God of Abraham”: Christians, Muslims and Jews gather in peace, praise and Thanksgiving
When: Wednesday, 7 p.m.
Where: St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1528 Oakdale Road
Info: The public is welcome to join these congregations for a short program of learning, singing and sharing about gratitude in the Abrahamic traditions.

100 YEARS AGO: It was announced that the county treasurer and tax collector offices would be open Saturdays as a convenience to taxpayers. Officials also hoped to lessen the rush of the last days before the first tax installment was due Dec. 6. Only 3,300 of 12,000 taxpayers had met their obligations.
