Stanislaus coroner’s office seeks next of kin in two cases

The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office is looking for family or friends of two people who died recently in Modesto.

Melisio Lopez, born in 1924, died Oct. 7 at 91 at Doctors Medical Center after a stay at the Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Care Center in Modesto.

Any family members or friends are asked to contact Detective Adam Rodriguez at 209-567-4533.

And authorities found Sharon Kay Casto, 59, in her home in northwest Modesto on Nov. 9. She died from natural causes. Family or friends are asked to call Det. Zeb Proust at 209-567-4504.
