Coroner seeking family of two decedents

The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office is looking to locate kin of two people who died in this county.

Det. Zeb Poust hopes to reach family or friends of Jerry Francis Battle, a Navy veteran who died of natural causes on Halloween at a nursing home in Turlock.

Proust also would like to connect with the family or friends of John Dale Hurst, who died in September 2012. Hurst’s cremains were found in a home recently on Spencer Avenue in Modesto. Anyone with information about either of these decedents can call Poust at 209-567-4504.
