Info: Modesto Area Partners in Science will present Lynn J. Rothschild, astrobiologist at NASA Ames Research Center as well as a TEDx speaker and winner of the 2015 Isaac Asimov award. The program will be titled “The Search for Life in the Universe.” Astronomy open house with telescope viewing will follow the presentation and the Great Valley Museum will also be open. Event is free and open to the public.

100 YEARS AGO: The Tidewater Southern Railroad Company had a deal for $1 round-trip from Modesto to Stockton. The promotion was for travel to a Modesto Reds baseball game in Stockton versus Cy Moring’s Colts. The ticket was good for a Monday return.
