What: PRESCRIPTION DRUG TAKE-BACK DAY

When: Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Ripon Police Department, 259 N. Wilma Ave.

Info: The Ripon Police Department is partnering with the Drug Enforcement Agency for the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day to host an event allowing community members to anonymously deposit unused, unwanted and expired prescriptions for safe disposal. YESTERYEARS

25 YEARS AGO Oakdale High School’s football team won its third straight game, defeating Ceres High School 16-12. The win was the Mustangs’ first against Ceres since 1985, when they beat the Bulldogs 27-7. The win gave Oakdale a perfect 3-0 record, while Ceres fell to 1-2.
