YESTERYEARS
75 YEARS AGO: The Turlock City Council approved the plans of the Turlock Irrigation District to construct a swimming pool and casting pool near Crane Park. The canal that runs along Canal Drive and past Crane Park was to be lined by TID to create a swimming pool and casting pool where the drop gate was in a ditch. The ditch then would be widened to a depth of 1 foot and children would be allowed to wade in the pool.
