Info: The Modesto Neuropathy Support Group’s monthly meeting will feature attorney Joyce Gandelman of the Senior Law Project as guest speaker. Gandelman will speak about powers of attorney, advance care directives and scams. The Modesto Neuropathy Support Group provides knowledge and comfort to those afflicted. 40 YEARS AGO: It was announced that Stanislaus County administrators and representatives for the Stanislaus County Employees Association would begin negotiations the following Monday for salaries and fringe benefits for about 2,000 employees. They were to meet at the county courthouse, behind closed doors, to work on the deal that would be implemented Dec. 1.
