Celebrating summer one last time

Visitors and campers enjoyed their time at the Modesto Reservoir over Labor Day weekend. The Modesto Irrigation District recorded a high of 88 degrees at its downtown headquarters Sunday, close to the historical average of 90. Temperatures will start to rise Monday and reach triple digits by midweek, the National Weather Service forecast.
