YESTERYEARS
25 YEARS AGO: It was announced that state gave approval to St. Dominic’s Hospital, in Manteca, to create the city of Manteca’s second acute-care facility. St. Dominic’s is a part of the St. Joseph’s HealthCare Corp. of Stockton. The then-new $30 million facility, with 120 employees and 100 physicians, would be licensed for 50 beds, with another 50 to come in an expansion in the future.
