Turlock Church holds first service since fire
A few dozen members of Equip Church’s congregation gathered Sunday morning in Turlock’s Columbia Park for their first service since their building was destroyed by fire early Friday. Pastor Greg Hazenberg told the congregation that the church had a new home on the campus of First Baptist Church of Turlock. He pointed out and named people in the congregation and then said, “Everything that’s important is here.” The building that housed the church was at Columbia Avenue and South Orange Street, and the loss is estimated at $270,000. Authorities have said the fire’s cause is under investigation.
