Man arrested for shooting at north Modesto houses
Modesto police responded to a call of a man shooting at houses in north Modesto on Friday night.
Modesto police Sgt. T.J. Moffett said the department received two calls about shots being fired from a Chevrolet Silverado about 9 p.m. Friday. Moffett said six houses were hit in neighborhoods along East Rumble Road, Delta Avenue and Vicki Drive off Coffee Road. No injuries were reported.
Police were able to track down a suspect and obtain a search warrant for his home in the 2400 block of Alexia Way early Saturday morning. Nineteen-year-old Modesto resident Hollan Thomas Trombetta was arrested and charged with multiple felonies including six counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling and illegal weapons charges. Moffett said police found multiple firearms, including a small-caliber pistol believed to have been used in the shootings and a sawed-off shotgun.
Trombetta was booked at the Stanislaus County jail.
