Man shot in Salida

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call Friday night about a man who suffered shotgun injuries in Salida.

Sgt. Hector Longoria said deputies responded to the shooting around 9:30 p.m. and found a man suffering from shotgun wounds in the 5000 block of Covert Road. He was treated and transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim was on the street when he was shot from what was described as a small, red four-door vehicle, possibly a Honda, Longoria said.
