Hot enough for ya?

The heat has been on again for the past few days, with afternoon temperatures in the Modesto area hovering around the triple digits. But there is good news ahead: After one more day of highs near the century mark, forecasters predict a significant drop in temperatures.

Saturday’s high temperature, according to the National Weather Service, should be a blessedly pleasant 86. The ensuing days should bring much of the same, with the warmest coming Monday and Tuesday. Even that, though, should be a manageable 88. Overnight lows will drop into the low 60s.

Bring on autumn!
