Coroner seeking family of deceased area residents

The Stanislaus County Coroner’s office is looking for relatives of two people who died earlier this month and another who died in the spring but who was just recently identified.

Deborah Kraft-Tobias, 63, was found deceased in her home on Washington Street in May. Officials had to conduct a DNA test to confirm her identity; foul play is not suspected. Authorities ask anyone with information on her family or friends to contact Detective Zeb Prouds at 209-567-4504.

Ernest MacDonald, 82, died on Aug. 19 at Acacia Park Nursing & Rehabilitation in Modesto. He was born in Louisiana but has lived in this area for several years. Anyone with information on MacDonald is asked to call Detective Garrett Seymour at 209-567-4503.

Modesto resident Jean Louise Kalar, 65, died at Doctors Medical Center on Aug. 17. Anyone with information about her family is asked to call Detective Mike Myers at 209-567-4500.
