Waterford school district approves contract for new superintendent
Waterford Unified School District trustees unanimously approved a contract Thursday with incoming Superintendent Don Davis.
His three-year contract comes with a $140,000 salary for a 225-day work year at the 2,000-student district.
Davis replaces Howard Cohen, who resigned a month ago after accepting the superintendency at a Bay Area school district.
Davis, 49, has been principal of Waterford High School for eight years and was named assistant superintendent of instruction — in addition to leading the high school — last year.
