Major injuries reported in north Modesto crash
A woman and a teenage girl suffered major injuries in a north Modesto crash Tuesday night.
A Chevrolet Suburban was heading north on Coffee Road at about 7:45 p.m. when it ran a stop sign and crashed into a Chevy Uplander. The Uplander had stopped at the stop sign and was continuing through the intersection when it was T-boned by the Suburban, according to Officer Anthony Palazuelos of the California Highway Patrol.
Two people had to be extricated from the Uplander. Both vehicles, which suffered major damage, ended up on the northeast corner of the intersection where the Uplander hit a pole.
A 63-year-old woman and a 13-year-old girl in the Uplander suffered major injuries. The 53-year-old driver of the Suburban was also injured.
