YESTERYEARS
25 YEARS AGO: It was announced that Donald E. Shaver had become the newest Stanislaus County Municipal Court judge. The oath of office was given by Judge J. Augustus Accurso. Gov. George Deukmejian appointed Shaver, who had been a deputy district attorney and supervisor of the Crimes Against Children unit. He replaced John E. Griffin, who was elevated to the Superior Court.
